Halong Bay Family Cruises: Top Picks for Kid-friendly Experience

Our room was large for a boat accommodation and included a sizable bathroom. Since the boat is tiny, every accommodation has a fantastic view of Halong Bay. Both the food and the crew's service were superb.

 

Because to the calm water and the boat's width, I didn't get seasick.

We had an incredible experience on the Indochine Premium cruise for a 2-day/1-night trip to Ha Long Bay. The ship itself was stunning, and the staff members were friendly and accommodating. The food served onboard was exceptional. I must express my gratitude to Anna, who was extremely helpful in finding this cruise for us after the one I initially booked was fully booked. Anna took care of all the arrangements, including sending the necessary travel documents to the company. She provided us with all the information we needed for the cruise. She even followed up to ensure that we boarded the cruise without any issues and checked in with us after the trip to see how it went. The journey was truly amazing, and although we opted for the 2-day/1-night option, we now wish we had more time to enjoy the boat by choosing the 3-day/2-night option. This cruise was simply great! The email contact was highly professional, kind, and customer service-oriented. Check-in and check-out at the Paradise Suites Hotel, as well as the transition to the cruise, went extremely smoothly. The cruise staff were also fantastic! It seemed very warm and welcoming; we had never received this kind of treatment before. It was really nicely organized from beginning to end. It could not have gone better! They even thought of a birthday cake for my birthday and were quite helpful with our young children. Our family felt really welcome.

Last but not least, the food was outstanding, and the program was enjoyable. My husband went squid fishing in the evening, and they prepared it for our meal the following day.

All of this from a wonderful perspective; the scenery was breathtaking, and it was also great to hear live music. I can't stop raving about this highlight of our vacation

The personnel were fantastic. Our butter john was very good. The only issue would be the expense of the beverages, particularly wine, which we were unaware of until we received the bill. Otherwise, everything is great.

The La Casta Cruise itinerary, cabin, and meals onboard all lived up to the hype. The staff were really helpful and kind. Overall, great value for the money for a first visit to this beautiful area.

But I thought the schedule was a little too packed and that there was a lot of pressure to finish all the activities. I also thought the tour manager was a little too controlling.

Lastly, a note on the price of the "extras". I understand that there will be extra charges for things like alcohol and other things on cruises, but at least keep them reasonable. If the price were not such a barrier, people probably would consume more.
