Today is the last day of this tour. You will have some spare time to eat breakfast at the hotel and enjoy the atmosphere of Hanoi before your flight home.

Morning

 

On Day 6, you will begin your morning with a relaxing Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Focus on gentle movements and mindful breathing to start your day with a sense of peace and balance. For those who prefer a slower pace, feel free to sleep in and enjoy breakfast later. 

 

Afterward, the cruise will take you to see another key attraction here. At around 10:00, you will return to the ship to pack stuff and check out.

 

As the cruise makes its way back to port, you savor a delectable brunch onboard, taking in the beauty of the bay one last time. Around 12:00, our driver will meet you at the port to transport you back to Hanoi. 

 

Afternoon

 

Once arriving at your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, you will have free time to unwind, relax, and explore the city at your leisure. This is a perfect opportunity to discover the specific corner of Hanoi you like without following any schedule.

Upon arrival, you settle into your hotel and prepare for an exciting day ahead. At 08:00 or 13:00, our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel. Before starting, the guide will provide essential safety instructions and ensure you are familiar with the itinerary. We will also take note of any dietary restrictions you may have to personalize your experience.

 

As you ride along Hanoi, you will not only be able to explore must-see sights and hidden jewels from a local point of view but also watch how people in the city work, play, pray, and live their lives day after day. If you want to view a local neighborhood, it is ideal to stroll along the railway tracks that are 150 years old to soak in the true atmosphere of the capital. Let's then have a glass of Bia Hoi before continuing to West Lake, where the fresh air and serene ambiance provide the perfect moment to relax.

 

 

From there, you will take a zigzag route to Huu Tiep Lake, a site steeped in history. Here, you can pay a visit to a local family and engage in an inspiring conversation with the family patriarch, a war veteran. Through his fascinating recollections of our nation, you will gain a deeper understanding of Vietnam and its legacy, from his childhood to the present day.

 

Subsequently, those wishing to support the community and enjoy traditional cuisine in a setting where locals frequently gather with their friends should not miss eating at family-owned businesses and local eateries.

 

Before returning to your hotel, you will sit back at a classic coffee shop with a cup of Vietnam's signature egg coffee, a creamy and flavorful treat that will cap off your Hanoi tour.

As the evening sets in, your journey to the north begins. At 19:30 - 20:00, you get picked up by a comfortable night sleeper bus bound for Ha Giang. You will arrive early the next morning and enjoy a peaceful rest at a homestay or hostel until 08:00.

Your second day starts at 08:30 when you meet our tour guide and easy rider team to get ready for the trip. After a detailed safety briefing and an overview of the day’s itinerary, you will set off from Ha Giang City.

 

Just ten minutes outside the city, you will find yourself surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Rivers, mountains, and small villages begin to emerge, offering stunning views that will stay with you throughout the day.

 

The first major highlight is Bac Sum Pass, where you will stop at a viewpoint to admire the snake-like road winding through the valley. From here, you can see over 20 sharp bends leading back down the slope, being around by deep valleys and majestic rocky landscapes. The Bac Sum Pass is often cloaked in mist, creating a dreamlike ambiance as it cuts through craggy mountains.

 

 

Continuing your schedule, you will reach Quan Ba Heaven Gate, situated at an altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level. This spot features a panoramic view of lush green valleys, terraced rice fields, and colorful flower gardens (season permitting).

 

As you explore the area, do not forget to take a deep breath of the fresh mountain air and let the beauty of this serene place captivate you. Nearby, you will come to visit Quan Ba Twin Mountains, a natural wonder full of fascinating local folklore that our guide will share with you.

 

The route then takes you across the Dong Van Karst Plateau, a UNESCO Global Geopark. Known as the "Grey paradise" of Ha Giang, this region has striking grey limestone formations and rugged cat-ear rocks. You will see how local people cultivate corn and other crops on steep, rocky slopes and spot small houses perched precariously on cliffs.

 

On the way, you will also pass through Nam Dam and Lung Tam villages, home to the Dao and Hmong ethnic minorities. Here, you will have a chance to witness traditional life as villagers work in the fields, dry corn, and wear their distinctive traditional attire even during daily labor.

 

Afternoon

 

Around midday, you will stop for lunch in Yen Minh Town and enjoy a brief rest before going on. Next comes the thrilling ascent of Tham Ma Pass, where towering cliffs loom on one side of the road. As you climb higher, the scenery becomes even more dramatic, revealing unparalleled views of the rugged terrain.

 

In the afternoon, it is time to visit H’mong King Palace, also known as the Vuong Mansion. This historic site showcases the fascinating architecture and rich heritage of the H’mong people. After exploring the palace, the journey ends in Dong Van Town, where you will check into a cozy homestay. Enjoy a traditional local dinner, and if you wish, take a leisurely stroll to see Dong Van Old Town.

Having finished your breakfast, you will get on an exciting journey through some of the most iconic and breathtaking landscapes of Northern Vietnam. Leaving Dong Van Town, you venture out Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s legendary four great mountain passes. This 20-kilometre stretch, part of the renowned Happiness Road, links Ha Giang City, Dong Van, and Meo Vac town. 

 

As you navigate the winding route, the trip brings a mesmerizing panorama of rugged cliffs, green valleys, and the emerald-green waters of the Nho Que River, which cuts through a dramatic abyss below. A designated rest area along the pass allows you to pause, capture gorgeous views, and immerse yourself in the grandeur of Dong Van Karst Plateau, a UNESCO Global Geopark.

 

 

Following this, the road leads you to the remarkable M-shaped road, a distinctive serpentine path from Yen Minh to Meo Vac. This stretch of road, famed for its sharp curves and spectacular surroundings, is considered the best place for photo check-in. 

 

As you travel, you will go through Mau Due Valley, a serene region that hosts small Tay and H’mong villages nestled at the foot of the mountains. Here, you will get a chance to experience the real charm of ethnic minority communities, witnessing their unique cultural practices and daily life. The untouched beauty of the rocky landscapes, healthy forests, and winding roads makes this a moment to behold forever.

 

The day is complete with an overnight stay in Du Gia Village, a tranquil and picturesque spot where you can unwind and reflect on the incredible adventure.

You will kick off Day 4 at Du Gia, a beautiful village located in a picturesque valley adorned with expansive rice paddies, sprawling cornfields, and majestic high mountains that seem to touch the clouds. The scenery is extremely beautiful as you move past traditional houses with wooden walls and roofs, their courtyards filled with neatly stacked bundles of firewood, all enclosed by rustic stone fences.

 

Your first highlight of today’s itinerary is Du Gia Waterfall, where clear, cool water cascades across rocky streams of varying sizes, creating a tranquil oasis amidst the greenery. The waterfall, originating from deep within the pristine forests, presents a refreshing break, with its serene atmosphere leaving you rejuvenated.

 

 

As the trip continues, you will traverse via lots of curves and bends on Duong Thuong and Khe Mang roads in exchange for awe-inspiring views. These cliffside roads show a unique perspective, with one side bordered by striking rocky cliffs and the other by the vibrant green hues of cornfields. Soon, the tour brings you to an eye-catching valley of terraced rice paddies, a masterpiece sculpted by nature and human ingenuity, showcasing the harmonious relationship between the land and its people.

 

The route later navigates towards Bac Me, where the landscape shifts to vast green forests and the tranquil beauty of the Gam River. Approaching Ha Giang City, the sights of this enchanting province will bid you a memorable farewell.

 

From Ha Giang, you will hop on a limousine or sleeper bus for your return journey to Hanoi, bringing this day of discovery to a relaxing close.

After an early breakfast, our driver will pick you up at 08:00 for a transfer to the cruise port in Halong Bay. On arrival, the friendly staff will assist you with the check-in process to ensure a smooth start.

 

Around noon, you will be warmly welcomed aboard with a refreshing drink, followed by a brief orientation about the cruise and safety guidelines. As the ship sets sail into the secluded areas of the bay, you will indulge in a delightful lunch served on deck. 

 

Afternoon

 

The afternoon brings many exciting experiences, with activities like swimming in the emerald waters or kayaking to explore hidden caves and lagoons.

 

 

Upon returning to the cruise, you can introduce yourself to Vietnamese cuisine by participating in a cooking class, where you will learn to make traditional spring rolls.
