Next, admire the elegance of Saigon Central Post Office and the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral (currently closed for renovations). Both colonial-era landmarks are architectural treasures that highlight the city’s French-influenced heritage.

If time permits, the tour will conclude with a visit to a lively local market, where you can soak in the bustling atmosphere, observe daily life, and perhaps shop for traditional handicrafts or souvenirs.

Finally, return comfortably to your hotel, where you can relax and prepare for the rest of your Vietnam journey.

At 07:00 – 07:30, your journey begins with a convenient hotel pickup in Saigon before heading toward Ben Tre Province. Along the way, enjoy views of lush forests and catch glimpses of the daily lives of local people in the Mekong Delta.

Upon arrival, board a scenic cruise along the Ham Luong River, one of the nine estuaries that define the delta. This tranquil ride offers the perfect chance to relax, soak in the river’s natural charm, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

The cruise includes a stop at a local coconut workshop, where you can watch the fascinating process of crafting traditional coconut products and interact with friendly locals.

Continue with a leisurely visit to a mat-weaving house, where artisans carefully create mats that hold cultural and spiritual significance for Southern Vietnamese communities. Here, you can also taste fresh tropical fruits and sip a refreshing cup of tea.

The experience continues with a ride on a Xe Loi (motorized rickshaw) or a bicycle, giving you an authentic view of everyday life while passing through green orchards and peaceful villages.

At 08:00, depart from Ho Chi Minh City for a 2-hour scenic drive to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels. Along the way, admire the tranquil countryside landscapes before arriving at this historic site.

Upon arrival, begin with a short documentary that provides an overview of the tunnels’ significance during the Vietnam War. The Cu Chi Tunnels once served as a vast underground network used as living quarters, weapon storage, and a strategic base for revolutionary operations against American and South Vietnamese forces.

Explore sections of the tunnels to gain a deeper appreciation of the harsh conditions endured by the soldiers. Afterward, take a break to taste boiled tapioca and hot tea, the staple food of local fighters during wartime.

For those interested, there is also an optional activity at the shooting range, where you can try using firearms such as the AK-47 or M16 (extra cost applies).
