We just got back from the mountains on a two day treck in Sapa through ethnic villages. The women are so funny!! We were amazed that they've picked up english and few other langauges like french and german off tourists and they make "friends" with you in orderto buy their hand woven products, like bags and coin perses. But they are super cheeky and they were all flirting with Damien. Some even wanted to marry him, but i wouldnt share... they tried to convince me that it was a good idea!! All in good fun and in order to be better friends and bigger purchases - cheeky cheeky cheeky!!

We wish we could have stayed an extra day

Great trek. Beautiful views and our guide was very informative and helpful. We stayed at Sapa View hotel. Nice and cosy little hotel with a beautiful view.

Unfortunately too many mosquitoes at night!!

The food and room were very satisfactory and the service was excellent.
Informative, warm and friendly with young children. The vitmanese are lovely people who are very accomodating to families and young children.
The sapa tour was good and interesting.Could relate to the work my wife and I do with our own indigenous people in Australia. Would have like to see though the performance of traditional music by the black mong. This is a matter of timing on the second day of the Sapa two day trek.
At the end of our Sapa tour we missed our Hanoi guide that was going to take us back to our prearragned hotel. We were contacted by BestRate Vietnam at the hotel to our surprise and reimbursed the taxi fair. Service that is outstanding and some western companies should copy!
