Mekong Delta Explore 2 days - Homestay

Morning

At 10:00, upon your arrival at Ham Luong Pier in Ben Tre town, start your day with a delightful boat ride along the Ben Tre River, which is a tributary of the Mekong River. This scenic journey will allow you to admire the picturesque views of the surroundings.

Your next stop will be at a brickworks, where you have the opportunity to witness the traditional brick-making process in action. Your boat trip takes you to one of the numerous coconut processing workshops situated along the canal. Here, you can learn about the intricate process of coconut processing.

Then, take a leisurely walk that leads you to a family workshop specializing in crafting sleep mats. During this visit, you can savor some delicious local fruits and tea. 

The adventure continues as you hop onto a motor cart (xe loi) or a bicycle, passing through lush rice fields and vegetable farms, offering a unique insight into rural life.

Afternoon

After lunch, around 14:00, you will visit a friendly local house, where they proudly showcase the remarkable collection of ancient porcelain.  

Later on, transfer by boat to your homestay and take your free time. This is the perfect opportunity to relax or take part in various activities like rowing a boat, and even try your hand at catching shrimps in a creek.

In the evening, you work with the host’s family to prepare dinner around 18:00. After then, enjoy a hearty dinner and spend the night at the farmer's house.

Morning

After breakfast at 07:30, take a sampan ride along the canal and then board on a cruise to explore the Mo Cay River. We will stop by the coconut floating market on the Thom River to see the picturesque scene of hundreds of boats filled with coconuts lining the riverbanks. 

Continue your cruise along the Con Chieng River to reach Con Ho local house for an authentic local lunch. 

Afternoon

After your meal, take a leisurely walk in the surrounding area to immerse yourself in the local life. You can visit fruit gardens or experience an interesting herbal foot bath.

Following your experience in Ben Tre, cruise back to the pier and head to Tra Vinh City. In Tra Vinh, you will have a chance to immerse yourself in the fascinating Khmer culture. 

End your tour, transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.
