Taste of Hue by Night on Cyclo

At 18:00 – 18:15, your tour guide and cyclo driver will meet you at the designated rendezvous point in the city center to begin this flavorful journey.

Sitting back in your cyclo, you will be carried through Hue’s evening streets to the first stop, a well-known Hue Cake Restaurant. Here, you will sample the city’s iconic cakes, starting with the delicate bloating fern-shaped cake. Its soft texture combined with shrimp paste, fried onions, and dipping sauce creates a flavor that is unforgettable.

Next, you will taste flat rice dumplings, another specialty of Hue with a subtle shrimp flavor. You will also try shrimp and pork dumpling cakes, which feature a savory filling wrapped in chewy dough — a dish deeply rooted in Hue’s culinary tradition. Your guide will then take you to a local eatery for crispy pancakes and pork skewers, showing you the proper way to enjoy them so you can truly appreciate their rich taste.

The food adventure continues with a steaming bowl of Hue beef noodle soup (Bun Bo Hue), a dish no visitor to Hue should miss. Known for its balance of spicy, sour, salty, and umami flavors, this noodle soup perfectly represents the essence of Hue cuisine.



To finish on a sweet note, your guide will lead you to a long-standing and beloved sweet soup (“Che”) shop, tucked away in a small corner of the city.
