Bring along a packed breakfast from your hotel — upon arrival, you’ll share this meal with a welcoming local family, providing a rare glimpse into early morning village life when the community is most active.

Next, enjoy a 30-minute ox cart ride through the village lanes to reach a bustling local market. Here, you'll explore a colorful variety of Cambodian vegetables, herbs, fruits, and traditional produce, gaining firsthand insight into everyday food culture.

Continue your journey with a 1-kilometer countryside walk through scenic rice paddies and rural homes. Along the way, stop to interact with villagers and witness seasonal farming and craft activities such as rice planting, thatch weaving, vegetable harvesting, or fish trap making. Each visit is unique, reflecting the natural rhythm of rural Cambodian life.

3 day Ha Long Bay experience

We organised with the brilliant Mia Nguyen at Best Rate Tours for a 3 day, 2 night tour with Orchid cruises on their nostalgia boat. Mia’s help and organisation was brilliant. Due to the typhoon we had to change plans but she was helpful, friendly and organised throughout. We genuinely could not have asked for more from her. The boat was clean, comfortable and with some absolutely brilliant staff. We are well, plenty of options and lots of food available. The trips we took from the boat were even better than expected. An amazing experience.
